A reminder that the next steering group meeting, on 25 September, may be a critical point in the development of the Faversham Creek Neighbourhood Plan. The consultants Feria Urbanism have been studying the feedback from the last consultation, along with other documentation and discussions with various interested parties, and will be making recommendations for the next draft of the plan.
Given the significance of this meeting, and the importance of engaging with the community in the neighbourhood planning process, it is surprising that that there seems to be no mention of it on the Neighbourhood Plan website or the Town Council’s web page. The meeting is nevertheless open to the public, and anyone concerned about the future of the creek – or the concept of localism – may wish to attend.
The meeting will be held at the Assembly Rooms on Preston Street, at 7pm on Thursday 25 September.
